The main thrust of this study was to investigate effect of implementation of adult vocational literacy programme in Calabar Education Zone of Cross River State, Nigeria. One research question and one hypothesis guided the study. Literature review was carried out according to the variable of the study. Survey research design was adopted for the study. A sample of 804 respondents was used for the study. Purposive sampling technique was adopted for the study. The questionnaire titled “Effect of Implementation of Adult Vocational Literacy Programme Questionnaire” (EIAVLPQ)” was the main instrument used for data collection. The instruments were validated by three experts, one expert from Continuing Education and Development Studies and two from Measurement and Evaluation, College of Education, University of Calabar. The reliability coefficient of 0.75 was established as a measure of internal consistency using Cronbach Alpha reliability method. Data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation in answering research questions while t-test was used in testing the hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that, there is no significant mean difference in the implementation of adult vocational literacy programme in Calabar Education Zone of Cross River State, Nigeria. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended among others that monitoring and supervision of adult vocational literacy programme should be strengthened by the Ministry of Education and other regulatory agencies to ensure regular attendance of learners and facilitators, proper utilization of resources, and effective achievement of programme objectives.
